Tons of Storage
Special Operations, whether Technical Rescue or HazMat, typically requires a lot of storage capacity to facilitate easy and safe access to critical specialized equipment and supplies. Tractor drawn trailers are the ideal solution, providing upwards of 1500+ cu.ft. of storage, yet at the same time affording a much shorter turning radius than chassis mounted bodies.

Models

Model LT - All-Purpose

Same as TR and TRR models, except the rear features a full width, up to 14-ft deep tunnel sectioned off for specified shoring panel and timbers storage. Available with transverse belly compartments with two-way slide trays for storage of airshores and pads.

Model TC – HazMat
- Available in single or tandem axle models
- 14-20 side compartments; plus rear compartment
Same as TR and TRR models, except the rear features a command or science lab room with side or rear entrance door.

Model TDD – Technical Rescue
Drop—deck, fully open interior permits this trailer to be configured on the interior for special applications and safe deployment of heavy wheeled and bulky equipment and supplies. Interior floor is below wheel height featuring a low interior isle.

Model TDD – HazMat and Mass Casualty
Low-profile ,drop-deck trailer permits the entire interior to be open for use a command, rehab, storage or any combination required for the specific mission. Rear drop-down ramp permits rolling equipment into and out of the interior, even accommodating all-terrain vehicles.

Model TU
TU model features the full-width rear timber and shoring panel tunnel. Note the four under belly transverse compartments for storage of long equipment. Three slide -out heavy duty tool boards constructed of PacTrac panels are designed for vertical storage of airshores. Drop-down ramps accesses the Stanley Power Unit and wheeled torch.

Features
DROP / PINCH FRAME
Hackney's worldwide field tested drop/pinch frame technology, using bridge-span construction, affords incorporation of a custom trailer body that creates low ground height, low center-of-gravity, and 43" deep compartment depth from floor-to-ceiling. Placement of heavy and bulky equipment, typically required to be stored above frame rails, is now easily accessible and safer to load and unload. Trailers may be transported by any DOT compliant tractor with conventional fifth wheel.
Timber & Shoring Panel Storage
Technical Rescue and USAR response teams require enough timbers and shoring panels in the initial response to begin stabilization operations until such time as larger supplies are determined to be required. The Hackney trailer design is ideally suited for transporting large amounts of timbers ranging from 2x2's; 4x4's; 2x6's, and 6x6's up to 14-ft long. Shoring panels or Finform with pre-attached 2x6x12 Strongarms are accommodated in separate tunnels. Load size and quantity are custom fitted based on individual requirements. Note on the Pasadena trailer that additional long timbers are stored in compartments on the roof with large rollers on the edge of the roof to facilitate loading and unloading.
Stanley Tool and Wheeled Equipment Storage
Drop-down ramps can be installed to facilitate safe and fast removal of heavy wheeled equipment. Since Hackney trailers are 43” deep at the lower floor level, the compartments can easily accommodate large pieces of equipment without a requirement to be lifted above frame rail height. The ramps have spring-loaded pivots that permit them to be rapidly removed and relocated to other compartment with pre-installed side wall receiver plates. Large Equipment Ramps
The TDD low-deck trailers are available with a drop-down ramp on the rear width counter-balance load assist that are strong enough to drive an ATV up and into the compartment. The center photo shows a decon roller table ready for deployment using the drop-down ramp. Milwaukee chose the design to assist with safely unloading 14-ft timbers and industrial cutting torch cart.
Rear Personnel Compartments
A personnel compartment is available behind the rear axle that can be used for command, hazmat science lab or even a toilet. Entrance door is available either on the side or on the rear.

AIR COMPRESSOR - PTO
185 – 300+ cfm rotary screw utility air compressors powered by the transmission PTO can be easily mounted on the tractor. Sleeved air outlets permit operation of jack hammers and air knives directly from the compressor. Outlet ports can be plumbed through umbilical connections to the trailer for air reels supply.
Generator Systems
Direct drive PTO generator rated from 25kw to 75kw available on the tractor with umbilical power connection (shown with 200-amp snout connector on front of trailer). Other options include 8kw – 12kwdiesel gensets mounted on the tractor or 20-30kw diesel generator with remote mounted radiator in the trailer.
Forklift
Where pallet-loaded caches are desired an articulating forklift can be integrated to the rear of the trailer.
